- The Baltimore & Annapolis Trail Park
The Baltimore & Annapolis Trail is an established recreational greenways following the route of the old Baltimore & Annapolis Railroad from Glen Burnie to Annapolis.
- BWI Trail
The BWI Trail is a 12.5 mile trail that encircles the BWI airport and connects hikers, bicyclists, walkers, and joggers to
community resources, public transportation, and area attractions. Most of the trail has an asphalt surface, however, wooden
boardwalks were used in environmentally sensitive areas to protect natural features. The trail has been built and maintained through
a public/private cooperative effort that includes the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks, the Maryland Aviation
Administration, the State Highway Administration, the BWI Airport Neighbors Committee, DNR, and the Mass Transit Administration.
- North Central Railroad Trail
Maryland's Northern Central Railroad Trail (NCRT) extends 20 miles, stretching from Ashland Road in the Hunt Valley area to the state line.
- The Matthew Henson Greenways
The Matthew Henson Greenway is a stream valley greenways running between the Suitland Parkway and the Potomac River. M-NCPPC owns the majority of the corridor.
- The Anacostia Tributary Trail System
The Anacostia Tributary Trail System provides miles of uninterrupted trails along the tributaries of the Anacostia River.
- Lower Susquehanna Heritage Greenway, Inc.

The Lower Susquehanna Heritage Greenway (LSHG) is a nonprofit organization that works to enrich the quality of life in the lower Susquehanna River area and also promote the outstanding natural, historic and recreational resources that are available. The LSHG is involved in a variety of projects along the lower Susquehanna River including greenways, trails, water trails, heritage tourism, and environmental education.
