My First Fishing Trip: Where Can I Fish?

You can fish at any of the freshwater areas. The list contains locations by county of lakes and ponds.

Several State Parks have locations which contain accessible fishing areas. Be sure to also review our accessible fishing piers.

If you have not had an opportunity to purchase a fishing license, but would still like to go fishing, there are License Free Fishing Areas.

Search the Internet or phone book for charter boats. The great thing about booking a trip on a charter boat, is that the only thing you have to do is show up on time. All of the fishing equipment and bait will be provided. You do not need a license as you are covered under the charter boats license.

Practice Catch and Release Fishing
Catch and Release is an important part of recreational fishing. The survival of a released fish is dependent on the angler and the handling of the fish. Practice catch and release by using the following catch and release tips.
