The 2009 Maryland Fishing Challenge is back!

We are looking for even more anglers to participate this year. We have exciting prizes including a grand prize of a boat and trailer package from Bass Pro Shops! And if you are lucky enough to catch Diamond Jim, you will receive a cash prize of up to $20,000.

To enter the Maryland Fishing Challenge all you have to do is catch a citation sized fish and then get it certified at one of our many citation centers throughout Maryland.

To get the big cash prizes, you have to catch Diamond Jim...and that's a challenge. Diamond Jim told us he wanted to be able to better connect with the sportspeople out there and asked if we would let our Challenge participants know that he is now online.

Happy Fishing! Send us pictures of your fishing experiences in Maryland. Send them to customerservice@dnr.state.md.us. Be sure to include your first and last name, your phone number and the following statement:

I, ___your name___, do hereby give the Maryland Department of Natural Resources permission to use the attached photos of my fishing experience for any DNR-related print or online projects. I took the photo and have the copyright. If children are in the photo, they are my children and I give permission for you to use the photos.
