Photo of the 2003 state record bullhead catfish. Garrett Reese 2.41 lbs. 05/27/03 Garrett established the new state record for the bullhead catfish on May 27, 2003. The 18-year-old Westminster, MD angler was shore fishing with chicken liver at Piney Run Park when he caught and landed the 16.5 inch bullhead catfish which weighed 2.41 pounds. Earlier in the week he caught and released a bullhead that weighed 2.31 pounds. DNR Biologists Ed Enamait and Martin Gary verified the catch.
