COMMERCIAL STRIPED BASS DECEMBER GILL NET SEASON MODIFICATION

The Secretary of Maryland Department of Natural Resources pursuant to Code of Maryland Regulation 08.02.15.12(H) announced today a modification to the striped bass December gill net season. Due to harvest under the annual quota, the December 2006 striped bass gill net fishery will re-open 3:00 AM Wednesday, December 27, 2006, through 6:00 PM Friday, December 29 2006.

The daily allocation is 500 pounds per permit per day, striped bass can be harvested between 3:00 AM and 6:00 PM each day, and all other gill net regulations remain unmodified.
