RAZOR CLAM DREDGING
Pursuant to Code of Maryland Regulation 08.02.02.09, the Secretary of Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has announced that the following areas of the Wye River in Queen Anne's and Talbot County will be open for the dredging of razor clams August 22, 29, and 30, 2006 with the following restrictions:
Wye River
All the waters of the Wye River upstream of a line running in a northwesterly
direction in the Wye River from Grapevine Point at the north west corner of Wye
Island (NGS triangulation station June 1909 Reset, (38° 54' 04.5" North
Latitude, 76° 10' 03.9" West Longitude) through Day Marker 5 to a point of land
(38° 54' 44.2" North Latitude, 76° 10' 15.9" West Longitude) northwest of Day
Marker 5 and all the waters of the Wye East River upstream of a line straight
across from a point on the south shore of a cove on the west side of the Wye
East River (38°52'24.5" North Latitude, 76°10'07.0" West Longitude) to a point
on the east side of the Wye East River (38°52'23.5" North Latitude, 76°09'49.3"
West Longitude).
Special Restrictions:
1) Harvest will be allowed from August 22, 29, and 30, from sunrise till 2:00
pm.
2) At the time of harvest the individual shall possess the appropriate tidal
fish license and razor clam permit issued by the Department. Only 20 razor clam
permits will be issued. To apply for a permit contact Eric Campbell at

3) Prior to leaving the harvest area every razor clam harvested shall be dyed
with FD&C Blue No. 1 food dye by completely immersing the razor clam in the dye
as to impart a visible color to the razor clam.
4) All dredging, SAV and oyster setbacks are in effect as normal within these
areas.
5) The Harvest Record provided with the permit must be filled out daily
throughout the allowed harvest period even if no harvest occurred. The Record
must be returned to DNR at the end of the harvest period.
