The public comment period for the proposed bait regulations printed in the Maryland Register on January 20, 2006 has been extended from February 21, 2006 to March 6, 2006. The proposed bait regulation implements Natural Resources Article, §4-702, Annotated Code of Maryland. Specifically, the proposal creates a new chapter to list the species and numbers of bait finfish that may be caught and sold from tidal waters without a license, the methods of catching those fish, and a registration process.
