SOFT-SHELL CLAMS

The Secretary of Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announces, pursuant to Natural Resources Article §4-1039 Annotated Code of Maryland and subject to the restrictions of §4-1037 and §4-1038, soft shell clam dredgers will be permitted to harvest soft shell clams in the Chesapeake Bay offshore of Sandy Point State Park in Anne Arundel County subject to the following restrictions.

Soft shell clam dredgers will be permitted to hydraulically harvest soft shell clams: to within 150 feet of the shoreline effective January 1, 2005 through March 31, 2005, to within 1,500 feet of the shoreline effective April 1, 2005 through September 30, 2005, and to within 800 feet of the shoreline effective October 1, 2005 through December 31, 2005.
