Middle Bay – “The Best Fishing in Recent Memory”

It’s no secret that Chesapeake Bay fishing from Podickory Point and the mouth of the Chester River all the way to Sharp’s Island has been spectacular this summer.

Evidence of the excellent action is the tsunami of Diamond Jim Recaptures currently being certified by DNR for the Maryland Fishing Challenge — more than 50 at this moment with 11 days of fishing left before the midnight September 2 deadline.

In the mix and up the creeks are croakers and seemingly endless schools of white perch. Early bird anglers in Eastern Bay and around the Tilghman Island stumps are tickling up specks and puppy drum.

Meanwhile, further south from Bloodsworth Island to Tangier, anglers are scoring lower Bay slams of chopper blues, speckled trout and redfish – all keepers, like never before.

Take it from us and other anglers who have called this the best summer of fishing.

Don’t miss it.

Launch your boat, hop on with a friend, book a charter --- the charter captains know right where to go.
