Landowner Agreement has been signed by DNR and the County. FWS has completed survey work and is currently working on a design. There is a stream closure from October 1st. – April 30th. Not likely to get waiver to work during closure period. Removal of Raven Rock dam will help restore habitat for native brook trout and resident fish species identified in the “Upper Potomac” tributary strategy guide. Removal of the dam will also reduce thermal pollution and decrease the occurrence of algal blooms. Raven Rock has also been identified as a priority project by the Beaver Creek Watershed Association.
