Small Lake Variety

Type: Freshwater
Region: Central
Location: Small Lake

As the summer nears, we have done well in small local public lakes and private ponds on bass with Stank X Stix Worms and Ribbit Frogs. Post spawn females are thin and hungry, but on the feed. Also, the bluegill spawn continues and we have also caught some great hybrid sunfish...bluegill X green sunfish...on a variety of baits and lures along with some impressive crappie. Panfish like the Gronaw Grass shrimp in 1/64th oz. tipped or untipped with bait.

Photos show my wife Linda and my friend Luke Sell with nice bass on plastics. The larger hybrid sunfish weighed 1 pound 6.5 ounces. The crappie went 14 inches. All fish were released.
