My First Rodeo

Type: Freshwater
Region: Central
Location: Farmers Museum Fishing Pond

My first Fishing Rodeo I was up early and ready for action. Excited to get a few trout in the bucket. Even with all the rain and muddy water creating poor conditions at the Westminster Pond I figured the DNR had stocked the pond with very hungry trout. We were lucky the weather cleared just days before. The morning was slow and I caught 1-small Bluegill, 1-small crappie, 1-small catfish in the morning, but in the afternoon landed Two nice 14 inch trout. I took 2nd place in the under 6 getting edged out by 1/4 an inch. It was one of those days I will remember when I grow up. The people running the event and the DNR made my day!
