Team Effort

Type: Freshwater
Region: Western
Location: Upper Potomac at Big Slackwater above Dam #4

My wife Debbie and I fished the Upper Potomac at Big Slackwater above dam #4 on Thursday 9/19 and Friday 9/20. Conditions were perfect both days and we caught a lot of sunfish and rock bass, several channel cats, and several nice smallmouth. The attached picture shows the nicest smallmouth (caught on Friday, 9/20). It was about 3 pounds. Catching it was a “team effort”... I hooked it and got it alongside the boat and Deb netted it and held it for the picture!! And yes... after the photo op, it was released back to the river to grow even larger and be enjoyed another day....
