Location: Tidal Potomac River
I am an avid fishman and have recently been on the eradication binge. I have been out twice trying to catch snakehead fish and I am wondering if there are any places where the population is overwhelming. Also if there are any tips or tricks I may not know about. Please let me know. Thank you.
DNR's Response: The heaviest snakehead populations have traditionally been found in Mattawoman Creek on the Maryland side and Dogue Creek on the Virginia side, another popular location is Mallows Bay. Search the Angler's Log for Snakehead submissions to find other sites.
