Good Conowingo Bass Fishing

Type: Tidal
Region: Northern
Location: Above and Below Conowingo Dam

I caught some nice bass above and below the Conowingo Dam. The largemouth I caught was below the dam on a deep diving crankbait after they opened up the gates. It was 20 inches and was close to five pounds. The smallmouth was about 17 inches. Both fish that were caught hit right in front of us. Even though the bass seemed to be hitting good the amount of fishing line snagging up our lures wasn't too good, we ended up loosing some nice deep divers because of it. We did manage to get some of the line, hooks, and a handful of shad darts mostly stuck around sticks and underneath rocks when the water was low. All in all it was a great week fishing, and I got what I wanted. Thanks DNR.
