Bass Tournament Held on Potomac River

On March 23rd 152 anglers fished the Potomac River in the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series tournament, operated by American Bass Anglers MD Division 21 and held at Smallwood State Park. The recent cold spell made for a rough day of fishing. In total, 123 fish were captured and weighed for a total of 348.5 lbs. Bryan Schmitt of Deale, MD won with a 5-fish limit of 19.35 lbs. Christiana Bradley of Bealeton, VA weighed in the largest fish of the tournament, a 5.38 lb lunker. All 123 fish were returned to the water after the event. A summary of the event can be found here.
