Central MD Pond Action
Location: Central MD Pond
Thought I'd report on the local pond fishing action. We have been struggling to see water temperatures get out of the mid 40's as of late, but have still managed to catch Bluegills on 1/80th oz jigs tipped with maggots. Also, we picked up a few decent Channel Cats lately on cut bait at another pond, including a 7.5 pounder and my son Matt Gronaw getting his new personal best at 30.5 inches and 11 pounds and 10 ounces. We used Euro-style bite alarms to trigger the strikes of these lethargic fish in the cold water. Looking forward to warmer weather. The one photo shows Matt with his big Channel Cat.
