Large Carp in Norman Creek
Type: Tidal
Region: Central
Location: Norman Creek
My father-in-law and I decided to get some fishing in before hurricane sandy hit so we took a trip out to Norman Creek. The day started slow but picked up quickly with back to back 24" blue cats. Then my father-in-law, Lawrence Fales hooked something massive. When we finally landed the fish after a 15 minute fight, we realized our net was too small. It was a 33 1/4" common carp. It put up a heck of a fight. After a few more smaller blue and channel cats, Larry landed an 11" White perch. We are looking forward to getting back out on the water after the storm.
