Great Day Rockfishing Near Love Point
Type: Chesapeake
Region: Middle Bay
Location: Love Point
I went out on Friday, June 30th around noon. I got a late start looking for some small spot to live line. I went to a well known spot, seven foot knoll, I started fishing for the bait with blood worms but didn't get too many spots. I did manage to get some small white perch . We fished for bait around an hour or so then went to Love Point to sent up our live line gear. We anchored up in about 25 ft of water. The tide was not moving very good at this time and we didn't see to many fish under the boat. But there were a lot of boats in the area so I new there were fish ther . About 3pm we hooked an 18 inch rock on a small perc, then about 10 minutes later a 25 inch. Still a great day fishing with some good friends it doesn't get any better .
