Janes Island State Park to Hold Open House
Crisfield, Md. (April 9, 2012) —Janes Island State Park staff invites families, civic organizations, churches, school and youth groups to join them for a variety of fun, outdoor activities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 5 at their 2nd Annual Open House.
The activity line-up includes; hayrides through the park, crabbing and fishing from the Daugherty Creek Canal, canoeing and kayaking at the marina, children’s games and crafts, self-guided dog walk and trail hike opportunities, a Scales and Tales live animal display and a park staff meet and greet. Complimentary refreshments will also be available.
The Ranger Julie Schweikert Nature Center, Daugherty Creek Conference Center and a full-size and camper cabin will be open for tours and rental information.
