Fort Frederick State Park to Host Youth Fishing Rodeo on March 31

Big Pool, Md. (March 13, 2012) ─ Fort Frederick State Park will host a morning of fun and fishing at their third annual youth fishing rodeo on Saturday, March 31 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Participants will join park staff at Fort Frederick’s Beaver Pond, which will be stocked with trout and ready for fishing. The event is open to children ages 15 and under. Prizes sponsored by the Clearspring Lions Club will be given out to each participant.

Space is limited to 30 participants and registration is required. Each participant must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 and bring their own bait and tackle. To register or for more information please call Fort Frederick State Park at 301-842-2155. In case of inclement weather, the alternate date will be April 7, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
