DNR Joins Partnership to Support Environmental Learning
Earlier this week, DNR joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and other Maryland officials in creating a partnership for expanding environmental science learning at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES). The effort’s goal is to promote environmental science as a college choice of study for minority high school students and provide hands-on environmental work experience through a summer learning program at the UMES campus. Assistant Secretary for Aquatic Resources, Frank Dawson, and Assistant Secretary for Mission Support, Monica Johnson represented the Department at the signing ceremony. Read more here.
