Grants Available For Public Land Plantings And Educational Projects
The Maryland Urban and Community Forest Committee (MUCFC) is currently offering grants for public land plantings and educational projects. MUCFC will award up to $1,500 to towns and cities, homeowner associations, parks, schools and other groups actively involved in environmental tree activities. Grant applications must be signed by a local Forestry Board member and postmarked by February 15. Upon approval, funding will be available for spring 2007 projects. Future grant deadlines are June 15 and September 15.
