BPW Approves $249,060 for Ocean City Beach Replenishment: Monitoring and Maintenance
On November 15, Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. announced that the Board of Public Works approved expenditures from the Ocean Beach Maintenance Fund of up to $249,060 for monitoring and maintenance of the Ocean City Beach Replenishment Project. Monitoring costs are cost shared with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at the rate of 53 percent (federal) and 47 percent (non-federal). Maintenance - including repairs to dune fencing, incidental dune repair, access ramps and cross-overs, bulkhead gates, coating and ramps, and planting - is cost shared between the State (50 percent), the Town of Ocean City (25 percent) and Worcester County (25 percent).
