BPW Approves $4,768,875 in Program Open Space Funds for Howard County

On November 1, Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. announced that the Board of Public Works approved $4,768,875 in Program Open Space funds for two projects in Howard County. Western Regional Park will receive $3,854,875 to further develop five baseball/softball fields, five synthetic turf and three natural turf multi-purpose fields, six court games, two playgrounds, two restrooms buildings, five picnic shelters, pathways, roads, parking and an equestrian trail. Meadowbrook Park will receive $914,000 to further develop four baseball fields, two tennis courts, two basketball courts, two playgrounds, two comfort stations, pathways, roads, parking and a gymnasium.
