Estimated average depth of water in area:2 and 2 feet in lagoon, 5 feet in river.
 

Shoreline Characteristics: Bulkhead and Riprap at Housing; Natural Vegetation elsewhere; some mud, some sand.

Land Activities nearby (industry, farming, urban, etc): Residential housing nearby. Chicken Processing - 5 miles away.

Interests and Hobbies: Occasional Engineering project, Church projects, Swimming 3 times per week, Golf 6 times per year, playing the Stock Market, Scuba diving, Snorkeling, travel.

Spouse? Children?: Engaged; 8 children by 2 previous marriages, 2 young children 11 & 13.

How long have you lived near the Coastal Bays? 10 years (+)

If you moved to the area, why did you decide to move? Quietness, Water Sports

What do you enjoy most about the Coastal Bay (Fishing, Swimming, Boating, etc.)?  Looking, Boating, Crabbing, etc.

What do you like least about the Coastal Bays? ?? A lack of depth ??

What related experience do you bring to the program? Previous monitoring experience.

Why did you decide to become a volunteer monitor? I live on the water (St. Martin River) and therefore have a keen interest in maintaining and upgrading water quality.
