NOTICE TO BOATERS

MAJOR RIVER SYSTEM:
Patapsco River Bear Creek - Peach Orchard Cove
COUNTY OR COUNTIES IN AREA:
Baltimore City

The Department of Natural Resources has received a petition to establish a 6 knots At All Times on all the waters of Peach Orchard Cove above a line beginning at Lat. 39˚14.533' N., Long. 76˚29.814'W. running to a point Lat. 39˚14.404' N., Long. 76˚29.924'W. This includes all waters of Peach Orchard Cove.

The action is being requested to control increased vessel traffic generated by a new launch facility at the head of the Cove according to the petitioners.

The Department will conduct a survey and study of this area during the 2008 boating season. Interested parties are encouraged to provide comments on the requested regulatory change. Written comments will be accepted until September 8, 2008.
