Commonly Needed Plans
for Marinas |
|
Marina operators
need to prepare various plans in order to comply with applicable
regulations. Here are templates for some of the most commonly
needed documents.
- Marinas that perform
vessel maintenance and/or pressure wash boats must have a
General Permit for Discharges from Marinas. The permit is issued
by the
Maryland Department
of the Environment. Any facility covered by the permit must
prepare a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
This table describes the elements of a SWPPP. (See pages
83-88 of the Maryland Clean Marina Guidebook, Chapter 9, for
more information.)

- Use the
Training Guide Adobe Acrobat file to plan and record
your employee training. It provides a list of training topics,
some of which are required by the General Permit for Discharges
from Marinas.
- The
Emergency Response Plan Adobe Acrobat file offers a
simple “recipe” for preparing an emergency response plan. A
sample Fuel Spill Response Plan is included.
