MAJOR RIVER SYSTEM:
Choptank - Cambridge Creek
COUNTY OR COUNTIES IN AREA:
Dorchester CountyThe Department of Natural Resources has received a petition to extend the current 6 knots at all times speed zone at Cambridge Creek channel-ward approximately 100 yards. The proposal would locate a new speed limit beginning at approximately Lat. 38° 34.598'N., Long. 76° 04.194'W., running to a point Lat. 38° 34.432'N., Long. 76° 04.044'W. These points are the NE corner of the Cambridge Yacht Basin and the NW corner of the Franklin Street Ramp boat basin.
This action is being requested to reduce wake action in the marina basin.
The Department will conduct a survey and study of this area during the 2008 boating season. Interested parties are encouraged to provide comments on the requested regulatory change. Written comments will be accepted until September 8, 2008.
