Welcome to the Chesapeake Bay watershed! All Bay Link destinations are part of the health of the Chesapeake Bay and represent the many different environments that are needed to make the ecosystem in its watershed whole.

The Bay Link network of sites includes 29 special places where you can enjoy the splendor of the Chesapeake Bay. There is at least one site near you if you live in or are visiting the Washington DC/Baltimore metropolitan area. Each has something special to offer. Many are open for you to just drop by, and several offer special programs for visitors, whether you want to just spend some time relaxing or want to learn more about the Bay.

Each site offers a unique combination of recreational activities as noted at the end of each site description. Directions to the sites are given from the closest US or Maryland highway. Phone numbers are included to help you find more information and make your get-away plans.

You may click on the links in the "Field Guides" section below to obtain detailed information on each Bay Link site. Or you may view information about each site by selecting it from one of our clickable maps. The first image is of the entire state of Maryland; it's rather large (253K), so you may prefer to select one of the smaller section maps. This web site is still under construction, so many of the field guides are not yet online.
