Lower Western Shore Watershed Hero:
John Minnick

John Minnick, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Anne Arundel County .

John Minnick joined the Lower Western Shore Tributary only two years ago but in his short tenure he has jumped right into educating and elevating the teams' understanding about agricultural issues in the basin.

His first step towards this goal was to survey team members on their knowledge of Ag issues in the area. The result of this work led directly into him single handedly, planning, organizing and conducting an exceptional FARM TOUR during the fall of 2004. Over 40 people attended the Agricultural Conservation Best Management Practices Farm Tour of Anne Arundel and Calvert counties.

John's contagious enthusiasm for all things agricultural and water quality has infected the Team with a renewed interest in agricultural issues. His interest and involvement with Tributary Strategies continues to be an invaluable asset to the Team and the Bay.
