Nonpoint Source Project Funding


Proposal Deadline Has Passed
The FFY2005 RFP will be released during the 2004 summer.

The Department of Natural Resources, Coastal Zone Management Division is accepting proposals from local government and state agencies for FFY 2004 Nonpoint Source Program funds. Funds will be available for nonpoint source implementation projects located in priority restoration and protection watersheds.  First priority will be given to projects that have a direct relationship to drafted or completed watershed plans incorporating a draft or final TMDL.  (See the RFP attachment A for watershed plan evaluative criteria and attachment C for a listing of priority watersheds and TMDL information).  Second priority will be given to projects that have a direct relationship to drafted or completed watershed plans without a drafted or approved TMDL. 

All projects must provide match at 40% of the total project cost.  Projects may be funded for a maximum of 16 months beginning on or after June 1, 2004 but not later than August 1, 2004.

Budget items may include:  salary & fringe, contractual services, travel/conferences, equipment, supplies and communications.
